Commitment
At Generation Church, we are devoted to spiritual formation. While regular attendance, worship, prayer, and serving, are all important with Sundays, we want to call you to more. At Generation Church, we are committed to community through our small groups and our discipleship groups. Discipleship Groups (or D-Groups) specifically will help you in your journey towards Discipleship with Jesus.D Groups are typically gender specific, and our groups of only around 3-6 people.
The commitment is to spend a minimum of 6 months, up to 18 months, diving into Book(s) of the Bible one chapter at a time. You will use the H.E.A.R. Journal method to explore the scripture and share what was revealed to you. We also work on scripture memorization, and have time for intentional prayer.

Pray about who to select. You would want to choose people that you enjoy, trust, and want to go on this journey together with.
Where and when do we meet?
You can pick a place of your choosing, and you will meet weekly for as long as you’ve committed to. If you need use of the building, you would need to request that, so that availability is checked prior and the space can be reserved.
What resources will I need?
Once you sign up to lead a DGroup, someone will be in touch about the next steps. You will be supplied with what you need to get it going, you would just need your own Bible and journal.
What will I get out of D Group?
We are so glad you asked! The goal is transformation through formation. We want to make disciples through growing emotional maturity, spiritual formation, and theological foundations. Our hope is that you have a deeper understanding of the Bible, the authors, and especially the ways and teachings of Jesus. We also hope through transparency, confession, and prayer, you will grow in a true authentic community with those in your group.
