Missions

Both Local and Global missions are integral to the church’s mission, reflecting the biblical mandate to “go and make disciples of all nations” (Matthew 28:19) and to love and serve neighbors both near and far.

We offer a Mission-Ready small group twice a year that we highly recommend for anyone interested in local or global outreach. This is an excellent discipleship tool to help educate, and grow the heart of a missionary. It’s several weeks of devotion style assignments to help you learn to navigate the mission fields. Local Missions can look like:

  • Serving our local community’s needs by our Love Your Neighbor initiative
  • Partnering with the City of Portland and the local Chamber of Commerce with events and opportunities to give back to the community
  • Providing supplies and support to the local schools
  • Generosity in serving and giving to children in need during the Christmas season
  • Serving alongside local ministry partners
  • Blood Drives and other local outreaches in the area

Global Missions can look like:

  • Biannual trips to Costa Rica where we partner with Iglesia De La Ciudad, a local church in San Jose. We have different jobs and goals each time we visit but all with the same foundation to show and spread the love of Jesus and help the local church reach the lost. We are in prayer and research for more future Global Missions options as well.
