Commitment
At Generation Church, we believe in calling people to more. Summer Interns are called to more
throughout their internship and are asked to commit to two days a week (plus Sundays) for their
entire summer so they get the best possible experience. Summer Interns who may need to miss
three or more days of the internship or one or more weekends may not be in the right season of
life to complete the Summer Internship.
That being said, we understand that life happens. If availability is the only thing standing in the way of the internship being your next step, please reach out to diana.harrison@generationchurch.me to talk more about it.

FAQ
Who is the Summer Internship for?
Summer Interns are students who regularly lead the way in embodying the character of Christ and the culture and values of Generation Church. They are available, committed, hungry to grow, and they show exceptional leadership potential. Summer Interns are students going into tenth grade through students who have completed twelfth grade.
What will I get out of the Summer Internship?
Summer Interns will walk away with hands-on experience in all ministry areas of Generation Church including, GKiDS, Youth, Connections, Guest Experiences, Worship, Communications, Production, and Operations. We will take them through Leadership Lessons with the staff members and give them every opportunity we can to learn and grow. We take Summer Interns on trips to other churches so they are exposed to the way ministry is done outside of Generation Church, and they get the opportunity to compare, contrast, and come up with new ideas. Summer Interns are taken through a book study and a Bible study throughout the course of their internship so that they get the opportunity to be developed as disciples, build community together through what they’re learning, and be challenged to think through the material on a deeper level. At Generation Church, we believe that some of the best leadership lessons and skills are caught, not taught. This means that being invited in to see how someone works and what they do can sometimes allow you to pick up on things that are far more valuable than what we can intentionally teach. These takeaways are a huge part of the Summer Internship.
How do I apply?
Summer Interns are required to turn in two references. One reference must be from a teacher at their school. The other reference must be from their Youth small group leader. If the applicant does not attend Generation Church, the second reference must be from a leader in the youth ministry where they regularly attend.
